i'm on my second pair of these now. They seem to last for two seasons. At £75 a pair they're not cheap.

How long should boots ideally last?

i can get "cashack" for HOF but not SD.

Back to the question:

Are these boots considered good? Is 2 years about right for a set of boots?

I make that 240 games.

Depends on how many games you do, the conditions of the pitches and how well you look after them.

If you just toss them in the boot of your car after a game on a muddy pitch, you aren't going to get long out of them. If you ensure you dry and clean them, you'll get a much longer life from them.

Also depends on whethere you're lining or reffing. I'd say I've destroyed far more boots lining than I did reffing

Pair of £28 Sondico Sports Direct bargain basement classics did me absolutely perfect for 2 years as an emergency oh fk i've left them behind pair. 😂

Am 100% convinced that after doing a sixes tournament on 3G in the baking sun for 6 hours MELTED the glue on a pair of Umbro boots a couple of years ago.

I'm on pair three now. Have to get a size down compared to usual shoe size but perfect for the job.

If anyone has any recommendations on any tongue straps for them I'm all ears. Currently lacing over the top of the tongue and think it looks a bit messy.

I've never had more than 3/4 of a season out of my boots, but then I've always bought the cheapest version of them. I've invested in a pair of Nike Premiers for £100 odd so hoping these last a little longer.

Fully depends how much you use them, I've had a pair of astros and metals which have lasted 2.5 seasons and they are only worn a handful of times and the FG boots are replaced every season.

Copa's for £80 (incl postage) is an absolute steal!

Bought a pair of Kaiser 5 soft ground boots this weekend with my Nike Phantoms having split at the sides again (second time, not bothering with them again). First game yesterday and by quite some margin the most comfortable boots I've ever had and the traction was A1. Would highly recommend.

What are you all doing to your boots? I've had the same pair for three seasons now (Adidas Copa Mundials)

Edit: and I do not look after them, they've been left outside for a week (ADHD) and had mould, left in boot bag regularly before cleaning and polishing
