House of fraser. £4.99 delivery.Would love to know where you get them for £75!!!
Ooh la di da, I need to know what leagues you're reffing onHouse of fraser.
House of Fraser is sports direct by the way
Yes. I'd be delighted to get a season out of a pair of boots. Nevermind 240 games which is probably about 7-8 seasons for mei can get "cashack" for HOF but not SD.
Back to the question:
Are these boots considered good? Is 2 years about right for a set of boots?
I make that 240 games.
Depends on how many games you do, the conditions of the pitches and how well you look after them.i can get "cashack" for HOF but not SD.

Am 100% convinced that after doing a sixes tournament on 3G in the baking sun for 6 hours MELTED the glue on a pair of Umbro boots a couple of years ago. Also depends on whethere you're lining or reffing. I'd say I've destroyed far more boots lining than I did reffing
I should have also added that not leaving the centre circle will also increase lifespan of boots.........Pair of £28 Sondico Sports Direct bargain basement classics did me absolutely perfect for 2 years.
Bold to think I move that far. What's that dot in the middle for if not to stand on?I should have also added that not leaving the centre circle will also increase lifespan of boots.........
I'm on pair three now. Have to get a size down compared to usual shoe size but perfect for the job.i'm on my second pair of these now. They seem to last for two seasons. At £75 a pair they're not cheap.
How long should boots ideally last?
Question for a friend, what do we do when the groundsman has forgotten the dot? For a friend of course.Bold to think I move that far. What's that dot in the middle for if not to stand on?
Fully depends how much you use them, I've had a pair of astros and metals which have lasted 2.5 seasons and they are only worn a handful of times and the FG boots are replaced every season.I've never had more than 3/4 of a season out of my boots, but then I've always bought the cheapest version of them. I've invested in a pair of Nike Premiers for £100 odd so hoping these last a little longer.
How many games do you ref a week? I normally do 3.What are you all doing to your boots? I've had the same pair for three seasons now (Adidas Copa Mundials)
Edit: and I do not look after them, they've been left outside for a week (ADHD) and had mould, left in boot bag regularly before cleaning and polishing
