This game has potential to boil over. Think MO has given cards as appropriate but I wouldn’t be surprised to see a red.

Hmm I thought card 6 was soft. And I think replays showed he missed probably the worst offence (another Moroc trod on a Can foot) - and I hope that doesn’t explain why soft cards followed.

The Hashimi foul and card was way too reactive and then MO put himself in between the players. It was very retro and I don’t think Collina will have liked it.

Whilst MO initially placed himself between players to try & diffuse the situation once he quickly realised that things could further boil over he moved out of the way. Overall, I think he has done well.

Looking at the whole match the flurry of cards really helped the match and prevented it from boiling over. Second half was well in control.

I’m not so sure this was a great overall outing for the trio. Looked like AR2 had a missed OS in the second half. AR1 flagged a lot, with a lot of credibility. Second half MO had great rapport with the players. But I think Collina likes the strong silent types.

I thought Michael Oliver was excellent today.
That was the type of match we see a lot in CONCACAF. He did a great job of dealing with things, and a game which could have been a firestorm was reasonably calm.

If he ever wants to cross the pond to do a US-Honduras match in San Pedro Sula, we’ll
GLADLY welcome him.

Canada were poor in the final third. Complete reluctance to cross the ball. Plenty of woeful no look passes. They really needed to fluke one in the opening ten mins.
