For the love of all that’s holy, someone take the microphone away from Alan Shearer, please.

For the first 35 minutes Arsenal were abject. Yet he’s piling in along with Clattenburg on the referee.

The Trossard caution was fine. Not a challenge for the ball, no chance of playing it and not set a marker. Nobody has made a similar challenge since.

Agree Saka wasn’t a foul but as clear a tantrum as you like kicking the ball away. Nailed on again.

And Hakimi had 4 fouls for his caution, and he says that’s wrong and ruining the game too.

Don’t get me started on defending the collapsing PSG attacker for the non- penalty call

Yeesh.

I missed the first 10 or so...ref isn't helping himself, that decision (lino) against saka is awful and symptomatic of everything wrong with the modern game - clear dive rewarded by the officials.

The signal for the non arsenal pen (great decision) was dreadful and correctly called out as such.

“I wasn’t impressed first half. He wanted to be the star of the show”

He’s had 10 Champions League games this season. More than Alan Shearer ever played in his career. Must have something about him.

Why exactly has he stopped play there? Arsenal would have had a man over down the left wing. Clearly not seriously injured. Yet again allowing cheating to go unpunished

When you leave 5 or 6 players to be in an onside position until the very last second, why be surprised when one is offside? It is such a silly tactic. Was surprised the AR was moving back to the centre, it was quite easy to spot. Didn't need to leave it to VAR.

I think Shearer made himself look stupid tbh. Always sees the players point of view, rather than accepting the LOTG. Suggesting the PSG player was right to chase the ref 20 yards down the pitch was embarrassing, and Clattenberg put him in his place lol

Exactly. Totally fell for that. If he's THAT injured he should have the medical team on and be told to leave the pitch

Thought Timber was reaaaally lucky not to concede a PK against Kvara in the first half an hour.
After the first half an hour, the game settled down and became quite manageable. Thought the officials did decently, few fouls given or not given here and there.
About as good a semi-final game as one can expect. Won't be holding my breath for Barca - Inter tomorrow

This really frustrated me. We want to stop abuse of referees and you’ve got Shearer praising a player for chasing a referee, it’s laughable. It was like listening to someone read out fan tweets on comms

I thought the same, he had his whole arm around him as he was getting away. If the PSG player had stood up a bit longer it would probably have been given as a pen but as he went down so theatrically I guess it counted against him.

So I’m not going to be popular here, but I thought the refs game management was poor. The early yellow card set a marker and he struggled to maintain it through the match.
Penalty wise….not in my books.
Card for saka. Lino did him no favours as it wasn’t even close to being a foul. Once saka kicked the ball in frustration though the ref had no option but to book him. Not sure why the Lino was so keen to flag though.
Why did he stop play for an injury?

As I said, I don’t think he got too many decisions wrong, but his game management was off for me.
