I usually try and catch the keeper's eye while I'm doing the 'player count'. If he is obviously still strapping gloves on, get the count done on both sides, catch their eye and you usually get a nod or thumbs up. Surruptitious, no need to shout anything or make a fuss, just a courtesy. Louder call to the ARs, and a thumbs up from each and away we go.......
