    Merseyside Derby

So a referee stopped one team not both taking a quick free kick not in a shooting position three times

    Merseyside Derby

So if the refs whistle isn't needed on most free kicks (generally needed when a team organisers a wall) why wasn't he allowed to carry on

    Merseyside Derby

I actually thought Darren England had a good 75 mins or so but last 15 was baffling. He stopped Everton taking three quick free kicks , don't think he was talking to another player at any time but camera angle might show different. The question i ask is, Dewsbury Hall was shown a yellow card...

    Spain/Croatia (Oliver)

This law is getting more and more and confusing. We now have challenging an opponent to throw into the mix as well. Last two years easy red. Is it now at the stage were you're not giving any red card for dogso as well as a penalty unless its handball or someone has been dragged, push or...

    Forest v Newcastle

Yeah just seen the Gary Neville clip from last night. It gives 5 bullet points and this incident probably doesn't tick four of the boxes, the only one that saves him is the fact he's stretching. I know personal opinion shouldn't come into it but i find that the wrong decision.

    Newport v Bradford keeper handball

Too many doubts to go red here. The ball might well run behind, is it a 3g pitch so the ball will roll quicker. Agree about the lines though, very confusing.

    Forest v Newcastle

What does the law say now about a deliberate play ? Surely if someone is stretching and making an attempt to play the ball thats deliberate.

Thoughts on this, causing some debate.

    Penalty or not ?

    Top VAR drama!

Regarding the Ath Madrid incident. I get the final whistle had gone and VAR advised a penalty, surely if the game had finished should the penalty kick be the last action or is it until the ball is completely dead, i was under the impression once the penalty is taken thats the end of the game.

Which handball, they haven't given handball if we are talking about Spurs here. I just cant see how they've given offside here.

    Disciplinary hearing

    Disciplinary hearing

About 4-5 weeks ago i gave an U13s manager two yellow cards in a game. This week ive got a hearing via zoom (or similar) He is disputing the charge. Is there anything i should be doing in preparation, ive got notes from the day and im a bit nervous about it but does anyone have any tips or...

    Everton V Newcastle

Amazed that some people actually think this is SFP. Its a trip, its on his foot, not his knees, shins or higher than that. Its cynical yes but there is nothing in the laws to suggest a cynical foul is a red card. Its a reckless challenge which the referee has a clear view of from 7/8 yards...

    Liverpool vs Chelsea

Cant believe there was a thread on this and the Keita challenge has only just been brought up. Its one of the easiest red cards you will see for me, i dont blame the referee (who had an excellent game) but how can VAR look at that and think its not a red card.

    Brighton v Newcastle

If you're showing a new referee what an example of DOGSO is this is probably the clip you'd show him.

    VAR

While on the subject of VAR. The Everton game today, the penalty incident which the referee gave at the time. I can see both sides, penalty and none penalty and i imagine opinion will be split on it but what i dont get is why has Jon Moss in the VAR got involved, the var is there for clear and...

    Juventus v Roma penalty

Anyone see it ? Roma player brought down ref gives a penalty and a second later Roma put the ball in an empty net. One of those real tough ones but the referee probably made the right call.

A game today - no shin pads.

Ive never once seen this done when its one man in the middle on his own.

"Push him back or chin him" - U9's parent today

It must be a day for it I had my U6s today and each coach referees half a game each. The game was a bit niggly from the start from both sides quite a bit of pushing and shoving. One incident were a coming together of boys and one got up and showed a double middle finger to one of my lads. A...
