    Good advice, thanks

Help with the step 4 fit

I failed the sprint tests x3 times, always around 6.2 seconds. If I did it again, I think I will try and book a sprint coach at the local athletics club for advice on technique. Watched a load of videos on youtube, but still think you need somebody to watch how you are sprinting to make...

    Brentford v Liverpool VAR overrule

I get your point, and don't think this was a clear case of wiping the player out to win the ball, but still think you can do this in the penalty area and get away with it.

Can I have a word ref

U16 cup game today, all good, but at half time have one manager come on the pitch, saying, ‘can I have a word ref’. Usually this involves a load of verbal and an attempt to sway my decision making second half, also I wanted a break and a drink! I said no, and stated that you shouldn’t be on...

    Brentford v Liverpool VAR overrule

Was thinking the same. Outside the penalty box that is still a foul, getting the ball is irrelevant, but inside the box, getting the ball seems to be relevant. Do we. Red a law change?

    Liverpool - Man C

Agree, Anderson late stumble surely would indicate it was a careless tackle at best. Also ignored Enzo standing right next to Doku, waving a card, which he booked Araujo for in the first half. Would have thought one of the officials could have seen that.

    Liverpool - Man C

The first yellow on Anderson was very harsh, and Doku like Anderson made a bit of meal of it. Not sure why Anderson wasn't cautioned for holding onto the ball in the 1st half?

    Qatar v Switzerland

It may have been offside, but also, until they show the graphic, we shouldn't be slavishly believing that all technology is perfect. Just ask Darren England, and tennis fans The science that shows Hawk-Eye isn’t as accurate as it seems

Arsenal v Crystal Palace (EFL Cup)

Also good a stopping promising attacks.

    INT v LIV

This is the problem. Why publish the LOTG for all refrees, if UEFA are going to interpret differently to the PL. I might start doing my own interpretations on Sunday, and see how far I get. If the ref thought Etitike had deliberately moved his arm, or it was an unatural position, then fair...

    INT v LIV

Yes, both bad decisions, not deliberate or unnatural handball. How can these things be interpreted differently in UEFA competitions. Surely the point of LOTG, that they are the same across all football. Never a penalty, so things evened out in the end. But some strange decisions all game

    City vs Liverpool

Interesting development. Think a bit of clarification would probably help, as the tweets they post after the event really don’t help matters https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/c2em29d8228o Liverpool ask PGMOL about disallowed Van Dijk goal

    City vs Liverpool

Was it correct to disallow Liverpool equaliser? Good analysis here. ‘13 seconds to decide to put his flag up’, needs explaining by somebody.

    City vs Liverpool

What is the VAR protocol. Is Michael Oliver allowed to make that decision? Shouldn’t the ref be sent to the screen at least? Not going to comment on the apparent interference

    Galatasaray vs Liverpool

Extremely soft, surprised it was given.

    Coping after a match

Given up open age football this year and just doing youth games. Much more enjoyable as the men’s last year was constant grief, culminating in being threatened by a player, who I had sent off. Don’t need that grief. So don’t give up, and maybe try some other formats for a break

    Wolves vs Arsenal

Cannot understand Arsenal fans moaning, as one of their players, again is caught playing the dark arts from the City and Arsenal playbook. But rather than just grabbing the opponent or a trip, he gets it wrong and rakes his foot down his calf. So it is a red imo. Harsh, but either he needs to...

Same people arguing that VAR shouldn't have intervened as it wasn't a 'clear and obvious' error?
