    GER v SCO - Euro 24

I haven't been looking at law changes yet, but with the 'only the captain can approach' trial, IFAB states, 'This trial is available only to competitions that do not involve teams from the top two domestic levels or senior ‘A’ international teams. Bit confused by that, as to why is it being...

    Fitness test

That's really useful. I am on an interval training plan at the moment but sounds like the sprints need some practising. Somebody posted on here about the sprinting technique as well. Did you feel like you had to get that right and work on that?

How was the 40x75m in 17 seconds?

    Blood pressure for fitness tests

I did look online and Boots do it, and plenty of other pharmacies do it, and Boots can book online, but not sure of the cost

Thanks, Amazon Warehouse have them for £291, so will investigate a bit more.

    Recommended Smart Watches

A bit of an update needed on past discussions. I want to update my Fitbit Versa 3 to a smartwatch, which enables the RefSix app and also can customise interval runs, ready for the FA fitness test for training. There are so many Garmin watches available, any recommendations on the best ones...

    Fitness test

Me at the moment! But I have until the 14th July to get my fitness up and technique improved. Thanks for all your advice especially using your arms to propel, as I have never considered technique before.

    Fitness test

Thanks for that, as I cannot do 6.2 seconds with a standing start, but can just with a bit of a jog up to line, god knows how they run 100m in under 10secs!! Also, I need to get a tape measure, as I measured out the distance in steps, and it just looks quite long! With the 75m, I am averaging...

    Fitness test

With the 40m sprints, do you get a run up with the 1.5m, or is it from a normal sprint start? Also with the 75m run, are you out if you don't get there within the 17seconds?

    Liverpool v Palace

Actually, as a Liverpool fan, it was one of the upsides today of losing that game, and absolutely no blame or discussion aimed at the officials and VAR, same for the Utd and Atalanta games. Makes it a bit easier to take when that happens!

    Dissent tolerance levels

Had one yesterday. Adults game, and didn't award a penalty and the play went out for a corner. The team then scores from the corner and CF comes right up to my face to celebrate. Could have red-carded him, but what he was saying wasn't in English, so may have been a compliment! but definite...

    WOL Vs WHU

Shame that can't charge Linkeker, Dublin & Wright as well.

    Southampton v Coventry City

That's great advice. I love the term NFC (normal football contact), and will use that when allowing play to contact. I have used the term 'this isn't netball' on occasion, which I don't think is wise going forward!

    Southampton v Coventry City

That's good to know, as hopefully I will be going for level 4 next season

    Southampton v Coventry City

Yes was a bit of a soft one. Good to see referees in the CL games this week applying more common sense to tackles like that. I did a game at the weekend and players seemed to think I was letting a lot go, but I genuinely thought a lot of players were diving and making meals of tackles. I fear...

    Southampton v Coventry City

Yes, not clear he did that on the video, but the ref was closer and pretty certain if that's the case .

    Southampton v Coventry City

A penalty was taken by a Coventry player on 30 seconds on the clip. Slips over makes contact with the ball and hits the crossbar. Ref then gives an indirect free kick to Southampton. Can somebody please clarify what law has been applied here, as I cannot see anything obviously wrong with the...

    Man Utd vs Liverpool

At the time I thought straight red, then the whistle went and nobody mentioned it! Really bizarre from all the officials involved, which was a pretty incident free game and reffed well.

    Man Utd vs Liverpool

Wouldn’t have impacted the game as it was in the dying minutes, but really surprised this wasn’t t reviewed and given as a red card. Maybe being almost the last kick saved him?
