Honestly, I think its okay if the shorts are the same. Just mainly the shirt color. Like one said, if the colors on the shirts are different, but hard to distinguish, then make them change shirt colors for the away side. I wouldn't recommend asking them to change the shorts for whatever reason...

The number is pretty hard to identify. The trace of the numbers is hard to spot. Extremely hard to spot. Almost seems like there was no number in the first place. Could at least added a more thick outline.

Oh! Well no VAR changes things. I was expecting it for such a high level competition/tournament. Still a mistake by refs if you ask me.

Isn't that the middle official's job? AR supposed to observe the feet of GK. The only other things AR is supposed to do is see if ball went past the goal line and get back in position after. That doesn't sound like they are focused on their task.

In US soccer is less organized and the ball supply is less organized. Theres no home or away bc there are no home fields.

I'd let both teams send their captains and balls to decide the coin toss and first, let both captains exchange balls to check which one is better. I would check both myself. If one ball is flat, I would select the other ball. If both are fit, I would let the team captains agree on one ball, and...
