Hi guys, I'm a little confused about this and am looking for some clarification. Under what circumstances does a player have to leave the field of play and be waved back on by the referee and under what circumstances can he simply get up and remain, without the need to go off. Thanks.

You may know better than me being a higher level and an observer but to me it doesnt matter how likely it is. If it's on the pitch it can result in injury. That in my opinion is the only factor that matters.
