It was 45+ vets and I and they were dying out there !!! I have come under 10s to this like a fool I know , so my fitness levels aren't great and I am old enough to play for these teams

I survived ! First 20 minutes I was bloody awful , missed a couple of scrapes after ball had gone , positioning a bit over the show , but at that level I think some of the recommended positioning isn't the best, and gave 2 controversial penalties bit of verbal but spoke to one and said anymore...

Well heres a thing 10 to nine Friday evening , get a phone call , game is off waterlogged pitch ! Mentally prepared myself washed boots and everything , although it can't be helped I know that , going to try for a game next Saturday as the weather should be considerably better

Evening all, right bit of a weird one,as some of you know I co-ordinate junior referees for mini soccer , good introduction to the game and responsibilities etc etc, however I have repeatedly asked county fa for basic referee course (Essex) and have had diddly squat back, I have 4/5 boys...

I brief pre each session and then de brief at the end of each session , ring all the referees before the tournament and make sure they know what's what , it's because the refs need to be treated with respect and yep the pay is pretty poor

I organise a tournament every year, mini and 11 a side , I will be surprised if all the mini soccer refs were qualified as I use it as a training ground for pre full refereeing , the organiser should try and pair up experienced with less experienced and always make sure am around to support the...
