Please could somebody explain the difference between a contributory league and a supply league?
Helps a lot. ThanksContributory leagues are semi pro, though are bottom of the professional game pyramid. teams must have encloses grounds with a covered stand and floodlights (plus other requirements). Officials are level 3 (ref) and 4 (ar).
Supply leagues are the top level of amateur football though some teams do pay their players. Pitches must be surrounded by a fence with dugouts. Officials are 4 (ref) and 5-7 (ar)
Hope that helps!
Are those referee levels absolute requirements, or just rough guidelines?Contributory leagues are semi pro, though are bottom of the professional game pyramid. teams must have encloses grounds with a covered stand and floodlights (plus other requirements). Officials are level 3 (ref) and 4 (ar).
