Anyone else reaaaaally rate Farai Hallam - started the season on a high!

Hopefully this doesn’t jinx it and he doesn’t go on to drop a clanger in the second half…

Handball & from his position, inside the penalty area (or at least on the boundary line) - therefore a penalty kick.
Looks from his body position that he was definitely inside, certainly a very brave decision though as the safe option would have been free kick.

I don’t think the safe option would have been the right decision, especially with the score-line as it was - needed to be brave if he trusted his instinct/gut which he did, especially from the position he had whereby I don’t think he would have guessed. From the long view down the pitch they showed a few times after the incident it looked on the boundary line or inside the penalty area to me and the Referee was in a much better/closer position.

Completely agree, I'm just saying that from his position it would have been easy to go safe as he wasn't looking at it from a great angle. I do think he got it right, but I'm not sure he can have been 100% certain given where he was stood, and he gave it immediately so there was definitely no input from the other officials.
