Perseverance is often key. When looking back in a year or so’s time it may be you will feel that in events, the promotion came at the right time.Got my L4 third time round! So so happy I stuck it out when I got the L5 email this time last year and in January.
Hey Sam, I've just received the full list and I don't see your name in there on either the Successful or the Unsuccessful. Which suggests that either you weren't nominated by your CFA in the first place or you've somehow slipped through the net. Fingers crossed it works out well for you.I haven't had an email either way... is anyone else in this boat?
Does the list get published at some point? Or does it remain on a need to know basis?Hey Sam, I've just received the full list and I don't see your name in there on either the Successful or the Unsuccessful. More generally, 157 candidates were successful with their nominations, whilst 19 unfortunately missed out.
Yes. The FA normally email out the full lists to everyone once all 4-1 promotions have been confirmed. As yet the assessment days for 4-3 and 3-2 are yet to take place so until that happens the list can't be publishedDoes the list get published at some point? Or does it remain on a need to know basis?
Until a couple of years ago, it was highly unusual (certainly in my CFA) for any of the nominations to be rejected. More recently though, with a greater number of candidates attempting the jump and the minimum average assessment mark needed staying at 70, there was a short period where around a quarter to a third of those nominated were not accepted.@Russell Jones Is that a high acceptance rate compared to recent years?
I’ve already updated my bio. So so excited!Yes. The FA normally email out the full lists to everyone once all 4-1 promotions have been confirmed. As yet the assessment days for 4-3 and 3-2 are yet to take place so until that happens the list can't be published

Once all promotions have been confirmed across the 4-1's. There's assessment days for 4-3/3-2 next week so I anticipate the following week a list will come out.So when do we get to see the list ?
Another tenner? Strange, because they want to keep observers but you'll all be retiring early at this rate!Well done to all that have gained promotion.
Ironic as well @DavidObs that a letter from Peter Ellsworth has gone out today advising of a £10 increase in Observer Fees (Step 3-6) from next season.![]()
Those who were Observers at Step 2 before the FA went to Scouts will remember that it was £60 a game then, along with travelling expenses at 0.45p per mile. However, I can honestly say that the £10 extra from those Observing at Step 3-6 was fully justified imo because of the extra things required to do, which predominantly was with the MCS/KMI’s, reviewing all from MOAS footage etc, as well as writing/submitting more Extraordinary Incidents Report. However, the increase at Steps 3-6 is most welcome.Another tenner? Strange, because they want to keep observers but you'll all be retiring early at this rate!
