Not a foul for me, far from being a foul, but it was given on field so not something VAR are likely to get involved in unless there was zero contact.

Sonia Bompastor has had a bit of a rant today about the standard of refereeing, and effectively said these WCL games should get the best referees regardless of their gender. I've always thought that argument holds weight, if the top level of women's football wants the top referees they will need to make the appointments policy gender neutral, i.e. it is the best officials regardless of their gender. Whilst there are some very good female officials they are vastly inexperienced compared to the top male FIFA referees.

Although this comment baffled me ...

"When a human makes a mistake, you can understand a little bit more but when there is the VAR, it's really difficult and it's not been the first time this season in Champions League."

The last time I checked VAR was still a human 😂
 
In Law I'd say this can be justified as a foul for holding as the defender is held down by the attacker.
I doubt it would meet PGMO's punishment threshold for clear material impact or extreme non-footballing action.
