The Ref Stop
Every individual match is going to differ based on how the teams play, how often play is stopped and how often the ball is out of play. Worry less about the overall distance you're covering, and just make sure you're a credible distance from play and that you've got a good angle.

plus every watch will measure differently and come up with different stats...

my first GPS watch had me doing 5km+ a half, my newer (better one) has me doing 3.5 - 4km - not changed owt, only my watch!

Get a load of this ref leaving the centre-circle magical force field. It's dangerous out there!

The first Level 4 I ever worked with was talking about how he was picked up for not moving enough during games. His response was always, I don't need to move if I'm already in a credible position.
