Annual level 5-4

That is a lot of L4’s for a mid-season promotion (though I haven’t looked back to last season’s mid-season). Hope the system can cope & that they can get regular games in the middle & not just on the line, albeit on the line will provide them with valuable experience. I was interested to see Lisa Rashid’s name with a promotion to L3. Lisa has been around for a long time & I observed her as a Referee many years ago (at least once & perhaps twice) - a very decent Referee. Lisa has been operating around the world as an AR, so clearly has now chosen to get to as high as she can get as a Referee & I wish her all the very best in her quest.

There's been a huge shortage of 4s this season so I'm not surprised to see a fair few names. I was a little surprised by the 4-3 number, with such a short 3-2 number, but it's all about balancing I suppose and I understand why so few were promoted to 2, because with the new system at 2, there is no movement there just yet.

I was also pleased to see Jonathan Wilks being promoted to L2. He has been a L3 for quite a few years & was mentored/coached by the late Gary Willard, whereby if he was still around, he would have been over the moon.
