What were the 6.5s, and associated comments?

Chatting with 5-4 friends round here, it seems like positioning at restarts is a consistent thing to lose marks on.

So based on this, decide whether you consider the advice offered by the Observer is something you agree with & want to incorporate into your future performances with or without an Observer present. I hope you attain the marks you require from your next few Observations.

Looking at the score that looks like five 6.5s or four 6.5s and a 6.0 or other combination of these.

Each competency marked down should describe the development point observed and must have an impact for it to be 6.5 or below else it should be a 7.0 if minor advice given.

What was said in the debrief as you really should have been prepared for the report in what the observer said to you after the game.

I am very supportive as I am aware (or I think I am) they want a lot of 4s moving down to 5 this year.

So if you are good enough, there is opportunity to progress. Every time an observer is ticking the standard expected, it hurts the score hahaa
Need minimum 4 above standard expected to get to 71. Each section is weighted differently. You will get there faster scoring in section 1 and 2 than you will section 5. 4 x section 5 would leave you just shy. 4 section 3 and 4 will get you bang on.

(If the report is scored and weighted the same as step 3-6 form).

Yeah and one of them is KMDs. Which when you're left with a game with no KMDs. It is what it is.

But I am not the first or the last to complain about it hahaa

Yes..section 1 is a write off if not KMDs or discipline but you just need to work hard in other sections. Section 4 should be a given. Work hard there and you can easily get to 71 in that's ection alone

Means you need to average at least 71.8 in the next three, so it isn't all over. What did he say in the debrief, did he give you any indication that he wasn't happy with your performance?
My positioning was incorrect and especially in corner
Is good as a feedback so i can improve it for next time
I feel it is little bit strict
But we carry on

mostly my positioning was not good
But I didn't miss any incident i was correct with my match control but yes mostly positioning

Just that? The mark is not adding up. I would expect multiple and significant development areas.
If you didn't miss anything then there was no impact so should be a 7.0.
No impact = not mark affecting.

As @JamesL has said, the mark and the words you have told us don't appear right, as there should be other sections where you have been given a 6.5, not just positioning.
You can appeal that you do not agree with the mark, which should give you a clear picture of why the mark was low.

I've recently qualified to be a level 4 observer and there has been specific efforts to ensure observers look at where the referee has been proactive to prevent certain KMDs. The fact that a lack of KMDs = bad marks has been recognised and attempted to be changed to be fair.

Everything is relative and just because there are no kmds in a game that doesn’t make the overall score a bad mark. There are plenty of games without kmds and one of the consequences is that the average mark of all has I believe dropped. Yes, Observers should reward for being proactive which includes at section 4.3 for being in credible positions for potential KMD’s/Match Changing Situations.

Erm.
Can we all stop calling them KMDs please!!
It's soooo yesterday!!
As Dave has mentioned, they're Match Changing Decisions.
