Can anyone help me out - Sheffield Wednesday midfielder Sam Hutchinson has received 9 cautions this season, but two were in the same game and he was sent off. In terms of 10 yellows being a ban, is he classed as being on 9 or less because of the red card game?

Bit of a boast post... I had an email the other day informing me that I had been shortlisted for the Sheffield RA Up and Coming Referee of the Year. Completely out of the blue and absolutely chuffed to be nominated, so thanks to everyone at the RA, my RDP group, and the other refs I've worked...

For me, I would suggest going along to your local RA meetings, or RDP schemes. Even if you don't interact with the conversations initially, it may well be worth sitting in and listening to the coaching provided, and the conversations that take place. You'll pick up loads of...

By law you are correct to award the indirect free kick. I think I'm correct in saying you cannot enforce a "keeper it's coming to you", and as such as soon as you drop the ball - and it has bounced - play has resumed with all rules applicable. So as I said, correct to award passback
