That would give @Big Cat a better chance of refereeing the final, perhaps. Or the sponsors may do without European referees(?)
An interesting power struggle!
Meanwhile the Wessex League are planning how to avoid the need to follow No10 to Manchester . . .
 
Whilst UEFA have initially kicked off, I'd be surprised if FIFA and Infant and Trump's matey don't ultimately get what the want
A bigger slice of pie ought to appease dissenting voices, I fear
Else, the idea will just come back in a different guise. A bit like how UEFA have kept the big clubs happy with a re-hashed European Super League

I don’t think so, the value of the World Cup without European nations would be a fraction and remove any interest for the investors.
 
So my earlier comment above has been proven wrong in the immediacy. I'd still think Capitalism will win out in the end, but this controversy has at least put things back a decade or more

Any organisation in which there's no leadership challenge has to be dubious. A dictatorship. Challengers don't get poisoned or get shot, but they would quickly go missing. That is, unless there's a coo. I don't know if Infantinomore can survive. Wenger seems favourite to replace him. He's probably a man with some integrity, but the insidious thing about FIFA is not so much the people who represent them, it's the structure of the organisation which lends itself to corrupting everyone associated with the hierarchy. I don't think Blatter was corrupt per se, but he was complicit for failing to recognize or do anything about all the scandalous stuff that went on all around him

I wonder if Infantinoshame would've had more success with his little project had Balogun's red card not been overturned or if the Infant hadn't been seen holding Trump's hand in public everywhere the two of them went
 
The bungs have already been paid he will get re-elected.

The biggest problem I saw with it is that FIFA operates as a monopoly making it formally a for profit business would surely allow potential competitors more traction.

You are probably right with your final para. As to the FIFA President, when he was at UEFA people probably thought he had some integrity at this point, but power, money & Trump appears to have turned his head. Wenger has some credit in the integrity department built over many years, though it would be a massive step for him to become President from being chief of football development. He has also been tight lipped with recent events - wonder why!
