I do think many people's thoughts on Argentina is masked by history and of course having the audacity to beat England fair and square.
Yes there approach is very physical but if that was England and it was successful, apart from a few footballing snobs out there, people will be loving it.
I was surprised by Argentina's lack of attacking play especially as just 4 years ago they were a part of one the best ever finals I have ever seen. There physicality is no surprise but was it really over the top? I see the word cheats mentioned in here which is surprising words for referees(which most in here are) to come out with on this forum and expect more from a fan forum.
Of course the scenes at the end was a disgrace but again I think it's over exaggerated because who it was, from what I seen it was just one player who lashed out and there was a small brawl but most of it was players trying to break it up, we have seen worse brawls in English football than that.
