Discipline Update: Violent conduct charge found proven - FAW

A Disciplinary Panel of the Football Association of Wales recently met to consider a charge against Thomas Taylor for alleged violent conduct.

This was in relation to that awful video of the guy cracking his elbow round his head before the penalty was taken.

Remarkably he went to court and got a suspended sentence!

indeed - quite what you need to do to actually see jail time i'm not sure

this comes a good 15 years after i witnessed a horrible assault on the pitch, player was found not guilty of ABH

Don't know if charges were pressed, but the vast majority of sensible folk would argue our justice is too lenient
Besides, there's no jails. It's one in, one out, so net result is zero even if he was put away... which of course, he wouldn't have been

5.5 months suspended. Under 12 months is nearly always a suspended sentence.

I've seen worse crimes get less unfortunately

Hopefully the FA will match the ban / refuse international clearance, he has plenty of form in the English pyramid.

I'm pretty sure the FAW would have to apply for the ban to be extended worldwide.

Anything under 2 years is eligible to be suspended.
