Apologies if has already been posted. Unless I’m missing it in the LOTG, am I right in thinking that players having to go off for a minimum of 30 seconds after being injured is only PL/EFL guidance and is not actually in the LOTG? I cannot find it anywhere in the LOTG.
IMHO, said blue player who is a “qualified ref” sounds like a d***. Absolutely not the way one of our colleagues should be approaching a conversation with you. If he really had that much of a grievance he should be having a chat with you after the game. Should have told him to go and get his kit...
I ref the same as any other game. Friendlies are also there to benefit our development pre-season, why should we try to referee a game differently just because is says “friendly” on the tin. 9 times out of 10 I don’t think these friendlies are so friendly anyway.
Enjoy it. You’ll do great. You will make mistakes, it is natural and part of the learning process, we all make mistakes. Be sure to come back and let us know how you get on!
Not allowed to wear colours in my CFA anyway, however, I liked the orange too, but think I read somewhere that it was only exclusive for the PGMOL officials.
You won’t be assigned them. Get in contact with some of your local leagues and they’ll be happy to help. If you’re not sure of your local leagues, ask your CFA for some direction. Good luck with your course☺️
Has anybody had any experience with the Stat Sports GPS trackers which you wear in the vest? Seen a few PL refs using them this weekend and wondered what your experience with them is like. I would assume it gives you a more accurate reading than Refsix?
The Refsworld card skins are good and are what I go with. The Ref Stop also stock them now however I have not used their ones yet so cannot comment. Deodorant or hairspray after the game gets it off, I go with a Sharpie.
