Youth refs

My local league in the US is concerned about coaches/parents who don't realize that some refs are youth refs, and we've tried to have a strong zero tolerance toward any abuse or badgering of our youth refs--but hard to enforce where it isn't obvious some refs are youths. I seem to recall that in some parts of England there are things done to clearly identify youth refs. I'd appreciate more info on how that is done, and how the identification of them as youths has worked out in actual practice.

For my FA, and at least 2 bordering County FAs, yellow armbands. They have 'U18 Referee' Written on, and a badge of the CFA/England Football.
