Not a great advert for the game this one. Very negative game throughout with Wimbledon players flopping about like fish on a dockside after every little bump.

Credit to Will Finnie in the middle, he’s not falling for it and trying to allow the game to flow.

Maybe should’ve given Walsall a penalty for a shirt pull that continued inside the area, but played advantage which ended in a weak shot as the opportune moment had passed, because of the pull back but arguably that’s it.

And a shocker of a foul throw rightly pulled up too!

That summed up Walsalls season after their implosion in March. Got a chance and mess it up under no pressure whatsoever.

Agree, there was a lot of going to ground, shows it isn't just the Premier League that suffers from it. Thought the officials did very well, once the defender let go of the shirt and the attacker went on to get a shot away I don't think he could give anything. Would be a huge call, especially as he wouldn't be able to send off for DOGSO having played advantage (even if he didn't signal it).

Their implosion started before then.
They lost to Bradford, whilst 12 points clear, on 25th January.
They won 3 games in 21 matches!

I stand corrected. Seemed to recall that early March was when they really went into free fall.

I’d like to see him get a consistent run of Championship games next season. Especially with the circus that follows Wrexham; it’ll turn the pressure up an extra notch and become a real proving ground.
