Hi all, recently promoted to 3W, just curious what to expect this coming season…?
I’ve elected to do AR and centres for the coming season, so…
- what can I expect in the way of appointments - I can imagine that there are plenty of 3Ws around and being new WNL appointments might be few and far between?
- do the FA try and appoint to fixtures close to where you live (or say within 50 miles) or is the expectation for long distance travel?
- are there development opportunities from the FA - I was impressed with the recent (albeit short) diet/training meeting
- how different from the regional leagues are the games? Speed/touch etc?

Any other tips for being successful at 3W very welcome!!!

Honestly, it depends! If you're in an area with a lot of WNL clubs and very few 3Ws then expect to be busy. I'd usually fill 3/4 of my availability last season.

They try to go close, furthest I went was 60 miles (each way) but usually around 40 (which is the mileage cap handily!)

I found these relatively lacking unless you were a 2W candidate but this seems likely to change this season.

Much faster, far fewer mistakes, the top 11 teams in the D1 leagues would likely comfortably win against any regional side.

As menioned your be expected to travel - depending on your area. In my region (South West) I am lucky to have a couple of local teams - but I have done round trips of 100+ miles as well.. There is a cap on mileage for the clubs and the FA pick up the rest of the bill...

With the pathway expected to be more inline with the mens pathway there will be more opportunities for development going forward,
