What has happened here? Crewe V Rotherham

Can someone explain what has happened here? The ref awards the goal and then talks to the lino and can clearly be heard shouting corner ball after disallowing the goal. I can't see the ball going out but I might just be blind.

Total guess, using experience and reading of a situation. Given the red players reactions, there is a foul somewhere, before the corner is kicked, possibly by White 5, I say before ball is kicked because that would justify the retake. There is certainly something upset the red defenders just as ball or before the ball is kicked.

I would hazard a guess that the ball went out of play as the corner taker took it.

Then the restart would be a goal kick ?

Look at the red reactions, there is certainly something which is not part of the goal scorers header. The goal scorers header is clean as a whistle, so nobody is going to be moaning about that, which makes me think something happened before it.

Looks to me like red number 6 was doing something before the corner was taken, tying his shoelace or something involving him holding his head possibly?

Looks like something the ref would normally hold the corner up for had he been aware of it and thus he orders the corner to be retaken after receiving information from his assistant.

I think you have hit the nail on the head here :)

Buy we don't see what the restart was, the clip ends before then? Granted, given it was a left footer taking it, I don't see how it can have gone out and come back in.

According to Crewe's website, there was a foul on a Crewe defender before the corner was taken, I would guess the 6 hence why he was down. The referee missed it but his assistant didn't, and as the balkl was out of play at the time the corner was retaken. From the article ...

In the final minute of the half, Moore thought he had doubled Rotherham’s lead on the day after he forcefully headed home from a corner. There looked to have had been an infringement on Raynes just as the ball was going to be played over into a crowded box.

Raynes appeared to be fouled off the ball by Moore and to his credit the referee went over to discuss the infringement with his assistant. That is what they are here for and the official rightly indicated that the centre-half had been fouled and disallowed the goal. As the challenge had occurred with the ball out of play, he rightly reawarded a corner. Rotherham could not repeat the delivery that had given Moore every opportunity to attack it.

Rovrum's website tells it slightly differently, but agrees on the reason ...

With one minute of stoppage time announced, there was a moment of controversy when Williams earned a corner and from the resultant set-piece, Newell swung a delightful centre which saw Moore emerge from the ruck of bodies to rise highest to plant a header into the heart of the home goal, but the amazement of all those at Gresty Road, the referee, following consultation with his linesman, ordered a re-take of the Rotherham corner, with news following the break that Ball may have been penalised for impeding Richards before the corner was taken.
