That took me a couple of viewing to work out exactly what happened. Fantastic stuff.

Clearly not acceptable conduct, and I think a caution would be warranted. It's a situation I'd probably be looking to manage, especially as it looked like nothing much came of it, but I'd imagine that others would EXPECT a caution from me as the referee.
 
Yeah I agree on the muted reaction that just an ear bending for the short yanker is enough. But if a flared reaction came about them you would probably have to caution for unsporting behavior.

Also, any chance that you could caution the other player for ungentlemanly conduct? I mean after all there would have been children at the game! :p
 
yeah i totally agree, not really appropriate, i would definitely caution him for unsporting behavior and have a WORD with him ;)
