It will be explained to you on the course who to contact to be given refereeing appointments in your local competitions, and what sort of match fees you can expect. If you want to do your own research you can look up the rules for your local competitions and this will list the match fees.

Are you an adult? On some courses, the RDO (Referee Development Officer) will get you games through local league appointment officers. On my course there were more new referees than available games. Nobody told me this though. So I went ahead and emailed all the local leagues to say I was a new referee and looking for games and it went from there. The younger referees on the course were given more help.to get games, which was obviously understandable.
