I know it's not going to happen but I really wanted Liverpool to win the league. Not because like Liverpool, but because they're not Man City or Chelsea.
I have respect for genuine City fans, who supported them before he takeover, but now they are just like Chelsea. You often complain about City on here @Southend-ref, what exactly is your problem? You're perfectly entitled to dislike a club, but I'm genuinely interested…..
I hate Jose with a passion, but he finds a way to win. It isn't pretty, and I certainly wouldn't want to watch it every week, but it works time and time again. You have to respect him for that.

Fair enough, the fans who turn up to the games may be real fans, but in terms of the number of people across the country who claim to be City fans I think that it's very much increased. Any trophy which you claim to win has been bought in just the same way as Chelsea buy their trophies - can you deny that?I see where you're coming from, but City and Chelsea are two very different clubs with very different philosophies. Our owners, regardless of all this FFP nonsense, are investing millions into the local area and working to become sustainable in the future. I get that people resent the money, but we got very lucky, the takeover was what every fan dreams of. In terms of match going fans, out average attendance has only increased by about 300 since the takeover and I like to think that the club has maintained its family feel. I, like many others, am loving every minute of this and although success invariably brings with it an influx of 'plastics', the majority of fans remain the same. We still sing about staying up when we reach forty points and I hope that never changes.

@Matthew - I thought City avoided FFP rules by regarding all money spent at the club as sponsorship payment (your owner also owns Etihad - right?)

btw there is a certain irony that Man City run around with 'Etihad' on their chests, which is Arabic for 'United'
