Because Sunday is officially Remembrance Sunday.

As far I I can do I will pay my respects in one way or another. Obviously your local FA/Leagues will have their own guidelines or say on the matter so see what they have to say

I was just curious is all. I've a match this Sunday too but it's in the afternoon. I won't be doing it though unless someone from the CFA insists I do. Remembrance Sunday Service is in the morning at 11am. If the match were during this time and prevented players from paying their respects then I'd be happy to suggest it myself but for me, the moment has been and passed by the time 2.30pm comes around.

I notice you said "I will pay my respects in one way or another" which is admirable but surely that's about you - not the players (?)
