Was it Offside?

Watching the game at the weekend, think it was hartlepool v Leyton orient. In the 89th minute near the assistant referee, a corner is cleared. The defender taps the ball back to another defender and the assistant flags for offside. No attacker nearby.

Sorry I've searched for the clip but can't find it.

Anyone see it?

It's difficult without the clip but the scenario you describe I can't see where offside comes from.

I watched it on Sky. Can't find it on sky player, but it was the 89th minute or. Very strange

The only thing i can think of here is something that happened in my game yesterday. I was AR and white was some distance offside and i heard the ball get played and it went through to him so I flagged and the ref was a bit hesitant to give it as he thinks the ball has been played back (badly) by a defender where for me ive just heard the ball be played and seen it go through to the striker. Without comms i couldnt ask who played it there. Thats the only thing i can think of if an attacker in an offside position interfered or was deemed to have interfered?
