According to Blackpool Gazette it wasn’t called off, but delayed pending second inspection at 7:30.

Certainly a breakdown in communication somewhere, but not sure this is on the officiating team? Seems to be on Tranmere not advising people.

This is a lot more plausable. If the game was called off the players would have left also.

The referee gives a signal at the end of the clip which would make anybody think the game was off.
Whether that was it's a no good at the moment signal, or he decided give it extra time after further discussions..
