From what I understand he took a selfie whilst celebrating an equaliser...
God knows what to do here... Surely nothing specific in law??

What did the ref actually do? Did he do him for C1 GC? Or did he do nothing?

I'd just play on unless he took an excessive amount of time to do it. I know that if someone did this on a sunday morning there life wouldn't be worth living anyway :)

Oh I see! Give it a couple of years and it may well be a law!

And less of the Mr! Its Viscount of Hertfordshire to you! :D

Yellow Card for a choice of leaving the field of play without permission (to get the phone) or a for unsporting behaviour due to the excessive celebration.... I know I'm a miserable git lol but in a local derby such as Roma-Lazio, it could be perceived as rather imflammatory

@fatmikey - Leaving the fop is not a cautionable offence in itself when a player is celebrating a goal (LOTG page 124)

Usb fits for me though.

Yeah right... you go on and book Totti for a harmless celebration in Roma during a Derby.. Law 18

You need to see the incident on this one. How long it took, was it obvious what he was doing, where he phone was etc

It's certainly not he sort of thing you would want to encourage though.

any player leaving the field of play after scoring, yellow card same as removing a shirt no need to do it simples
and before anyone else says it we dont have a sense of humour up here lol

Similar thing happened in an MLS game in the US (Dallas perhaps?) this past summer. Celebrating selfie-player got cautioned.

Edit: Delayed confirmation, but was for USB.

ahem. If I can draw your attention to my post above. LOTG Expressly say leaving the FOP when celebrating a goal is not in its self a cautionable offence. :D
