This could be a short thread if nobody could find it… but… I’m told that Assignon tripped over his own leg, appealed for a penalty and lost his mind when it wasn’t given, his own team mates were telling him to get up and he was eventually cautioned. Has anyone got a video?

It appeared that he was cautioned for dissent. He could easily have then received a second caution for the same offence, though not surprised to see this 'managed' / ignored into stoppage time in a game that would see his team relegated. It was somewhat amusing to see his team mates attempting to get him up off the floor ... whatever the merits of his penalty claim, he most definitely wasn't injured!

Ridiculous. He should have got one for simulation and then another for the dissent. Crazy. It would never happen in PL/EFL though because of their extreme game management tactics.

This replay starts about 2 seconds too late and can be misleading. The defender cuts across behind him. I'd like to see that moment. His back leg could have been clipped. We won't know unless we see the step before the start of this vid.
