2 FORECAST 2 FIFTIES The greatest predictions game in the known universe returns for its difficult second season, so here's your chance to get involved from the start of the 25/26 campaign and earn upto 50 points per week from the very first opportunity. It's remarkably straight-forward despite everyone's best efforts and it simply involves you predicting the full-time score of five selected matches each Sunday and assigning each of those matches a wager which will determine any points you will score (or lose).
How To Play:
Five matches will be selected in advance, predict the final score of each listed match.
For each match assign a wager of either 1/2/3/4/5 using each number once and once only.
How To Score:
A correct final score will reward you 3x the wager (1/2/3/4/5) that you placed upon that match.
An incorrect final score, but a correct result (home win/away win/draw) will win you 1x the wager.
If you predict a team to win that match and they lose instead, you will be deducted 1x the wager.
This scoring system provides a potential swing from -15 points ('Doing a Spurs™') to +45 points.
How To Bonus:
Each week will be an optional bonus game, and additional rules will be specified or clarified.
Often simple "pick a player who will score" and usually for +5 points (hence 'Forecast Fifties').
How To Enter:
Simply post your predictions and correctly-assigned wagers as a reply (or via DM) to that week's thread.
If errors spotted, I'll let you know by reply in that thread. Predictions can be changed until first match k/o.
How To Whinge:
I reserve the right to make rules decisions, bonus games, score amendments, fixtures changes (etc) up on the spot.
Often will be done on a complete whim depending what mood I'm in, if I've had a third beer, or how my game went.
How To Win:
Score more than everyone else over 40 weeks of the 25/26 football season. There are prizes.
Last season's winners (league top two and knockout cup) will receive private messages shortly.
