HI all.

I have been offered a place at the Target Usa Cup in Minnesota this July.

This would be my first experience of the tournament if I was to go. (UK Based open age ref)

I would like to know people's experiences of the tournament? I.e. the standard? Accommodation / transport options? Remuneration ?

From what I've read, it seems quite a good experience but it would be interesting to hear the experiences of others.

Hope you can help

I went back in 2011- was an amazing experience.

Accommodation- we were in dorms. So rooms with 2-3 bunk beds. They’re basic but clean.

Transport- as long as things haven’t changed, you stay on the campus. So you just walk to the pitches (or get a buggy if it’s one of the further ones). They’ll also pick you up at the airport.

Standard- varies. You cover multiple age groups, depending on your level/experience.

Remuneration- from what I remember, the money you get will basically cover your accommodation. So you won’t see much money, but also won’t spend it.

Regarding the above, did you need to complete a temporary Visa? Or did the Esta suffice? I just want to make sure I have the right paperwork before I depart in July.

I went 2023 and 2024. Nice setup, youll get maybe 4-6 games a day and it can get very hot. Youll need to do some certifications including a safe sport (their safeguarding equivalent), a concussion one, and a background check.
