There was something that I never saw before, a substitution was made when play was stopped on an offside call. Can that be done? The LOTG states that substitutions can be made at any stoppage of play.
Remember that a number of competitions in the US and Canada allow unlimited subs, but only allow those substitutions at certain stoppages as per their rules of competition (ie, kickoffs, goalkicks, and sometimes own throw-ins).
