I’m certainly not keeping someone as a CAR after I cautioned him for dissent. And that doesn’t have anything to do with sin bins.
CorrectIf it’s a substitute don’t you just treat it as a yellow card with no timed suspension attached?
No I am fairly certain in that situation a substitution procedure cannot take place until the player has served their timed suspension. So theoretically you could have a situation where a player and a substitute are carded for dissent at the same time, one has to go off the pitch for ten minutes but the other can come straight on.
The player sent to the sin bin cannot be replaced until their 10 minutes is up. However, a substitute that is cautioned for dissent can be bought on whenever the manager wishes as their dissent is not punished with any kind of sin bin.No I am fairly certain in that situation a substitution procedure cannot take place until the player has served their timed suspension.
Potentially yes, though as pointed out above only substituted for a player other than the one binned. It's a bit of a loophole in the laws but I don't see it as an issue. Any manager who subs in a substitute straight after they have been carded for dissent is not a very bright one.So theoretically you could have a situation where a player and a substitute are carded for dissent at the same time, one has to go off the pitch for ten minutes but the other can come straight on.
good thing there aren’t any of those!Any manager who subs in a substitute straight after they have been carded for dissent is not a very bright one.
I saw this coming after I posted itgood thing there aren’t any of those!
This has happened to me twice interestingly. Bet you can guess what happened to both of themAny manager who subs in a substitute straight after they have been carded for dissent is not a very bright one
Yes that’s correct. I had it this weekend.Which option do I select for reason why he was not placed in sin bin? ‘Caution was not issued in play’ ??
This is C2 no sin bin. Sin bin can only be given to an active player on the pitch. There is no timed suspension attached and they can replace a player at anytime after the card.No I am fairly certain in that situation a substitution procedure cannot take place until the player has served their timed suspension.
I had this too! They ended up getting a straight red for OFFINABUS (at me) later in the matchThis has happened to me twice interestingly. Bet you can guess what happened to both of them![]()
