So I was told a dissent yellow puts you in the bin for 10 min or 8 mins.

Second dissent and another yellow puts you in the bin again and can’t return. You can be subbed after the time is up but you can not play any part of the rest of the match.

Now some are saying you get a red for second dissent.

Can someone clear this up for me please

Law Change for 24/25 (so, last July):

"A player who receives two cautions (YCs) in the same match is sent off (RC), even if one caution is/both cautions are for a temporary dismissal offence"

A second yellow = a red even if either of those YCs was a "sin bin".

Start of this season Sin bin cautions were made a lot more simple.

If you show someone a sin bin caution. This counts as a regular caution. E.g. two cautions is now a red.

If the match is 90mins, they will go to the side-line for 10 minutes of in ball play (meaning, any stoppages are added onto the sin bin). Then they can re-enter play once they have been side-lined for more than 10 minutes of in play time and at the next restart (can't call them on whilst the game is live this season either).
