Contact Nick Dunn your Referee Development Officer. he'll be able to tell you which leagues are local to you, which ones are well run and which ones to contact. he might even do an introduction to a league for you by contacting the person who allocates games.

Your RDO might also be able to introduce you to other leagues, such as the local pro clubs youth games.

If you know which league you want to join and you can find their contact details, then yes, there's no problem with directly contacting their referees secretary.

Brian's suggestion is the way to go if you don't know leagues in your area, or want some guidance on which are good for beginner referees.

Hi @Tommy, where in Kent are you, and what's your age?

Theres a few well run leagues in the Medway area. both youth and open age

Also, you can't go wrong getting in touch with Nick, he was a big help to me when I qualified at the end of last season.
