Censorship
Getting fed up watching games where referees during corner (and even throws now) routines continue to stop the process to remind the same few players each game, each week, to stop what theyre doing.
If its a defender fouling, let it restart and give a penalty.
If its an attacker, give the free kick.
One of a few games I watched, including an overseas match, I heard the commentator say that on one of the corners a "no penalty" was decided because of an accidental collision where the players were going towards each other. Surely all fouls are accidental, and if not you're dealing with the player with a card as itll therefore be deliberate.
The "offending" player was not even looking at the corner, the flight of the ball or anything. Literally facing the other direction, as said by the commentator who has ears on the officials audios. Accidentally runs into the opponent whilst not playing the ball and has no intention of playing the ball if he doesn't even know where it is.
None of this holding etc will be removed if officials just stop the game before they're being taken to warn them/stop them. Warn them once, at the first set piece, then punish them. Theyre professionals. They know what they are doing.
Just sick of stopping all the time to talk and talk. It seems more like all talk, no action.
Rant over.
