The Ref Stop

Senegal - Colombia

The Ref Stop
Sub running on, barely gets in position and the corner is fizzed in, thought it could've been held a moment more, I didn't even hear a whistle. Or is that me just being picky?

There we go, keeper comes and wins the ball, then takes the player out, without doubt recklessly, yet no referee would dream of giving a penalty for that, because he took the ball in the same motion.
The big difference here is the stricker ran into the keeper just as much is the keeper into him. When the keeper is getting to the ball first the on us is on the stricker to avoid contact.

So, 2 yellow cards deciding the group at the moment.

Crazy that the no-yellow-card policy could be a massive factor... I don't want to re-watch Japan and Senegal's opening games... but I'm gonna guess there were a host of obvious cards not given for both teams...

Want to stop the opponents' attack? Jump onto their shoulders and then bundle over the top of them, they don't expect it and don't jump, they get penalised for bending forward and making you fall

I wonder how bad the last 15 minutes in the Jap-Pol game was?

And we will have 90 mins of the same in the Eng-Bel tonight...?
