Hi all.
So I have added REFSIX to my garmin forerunner 645.
I have an Apple 14.

Now my phone is paired with my watch.
I have set matches up. E,g u11 match KO 11am today.
Set half 30min and half time 5 min

I sync watch with phone.

When I pressed REFSIX on watch it doesn’t choose the game. Just starts the watch on 45 min standard game with no name of teams I entered. Like nothing has sent to the watch.

So in frustration I have luckily just started my Casio and used the stopwatch.

Talk about close embarrassment before a match. How the bloody hell do I use this app?

Everyone says it’s great. I have even made test matches and it just won’t start with the info I have chosen like half length.

Anyone able to give me some kind of insight on using this app without my head exploding

On the Refsix Garmin menu it should tell you how many games are synced and what time it last synced, is all that showing correctly?

Nope. I uninstalled app on phone and garmin. Re registered and added watch. Added a fixture for tomorrow and then synced phone. Opened watch app and REFSIX says start match. Choose a team. But no teams to choose and starting a game once again is a no named match with 45 min each way.

Just won’t sync my games and I’m not running about with a phone in my pocket

I think you are supposed to press 'sync matches' first on the Refsix watch app menu, which you haven't mentioned.

This video might be outdated but seems to show how to sync your matches

I am on WearOS / Android so my own gear works differently from yours.
 
It's been a while since I used REFSIX (due to my watch dying more than preference), but my recollection is that there's nothing stopping you "loading" the game up on your watch well in advance of kick off. Appreciate it doesn't necessarily solve your issues, but if you're intending to use Refsix, you should be loading it up ready to just push "start match" before you even walk onto the pitch to do the coin toss.

And if you can adopt this as part of your prep, you'll at least know if you've got any issues before you get to the point of having to scramble for watches in the middle of the pitch!
 
Personally I don't load anything on to my watch as I've had issues in the past, I just create the match on my watch as home vs away and use it to record time and score. I record discipline separately.
