Referee Tears Up After Final Match of Career

The Referee Store
The Dutch Cup Final in 2010 was switched from a one-off game to a two-legged one by the Dutch FA due to issues of fan trouble between Ajax and Feyenoord.

Ajax won the final with a 6–1 on aggregate, winning their record 18th title.

It was also the last game refereed by Roelof Luinge - who had taken over 740 games in a 27 year career in the top divisions of Dutch Football.

So the Dutch FA let this happen after 89 minutes - which I thought was superb

In any normal job if you had worked there for 27 years you would get a good send off, fair play to the Dutch FA a nice touch.
