Less curious when you look at their localities and where they are from.Isn't it curious how so few of the top refs support teams in the Premier League hmm?

I really hope I can do some Norwich Youth games this season, sounds like really good fun experienceI reffed at the Blades Academy many years ago, U12s and they played Forest Boys U12, (They'd all be mid 20s now), they were all brilliant, I gave a penalty against a Blades defender, not a squeek out of him or the parents watching from afar, it was actually quite refreshing!!!
I do seem to remember having thoughts about any bias that I may of had before the game but I was just like any other once we got going!! UTB!!!
I think we're all biased at all times, albeit unawares. Trying not to be bias is surest way of being just that
Lots of biases, based on how long's left, a run of decisions against a team, aggravation, fans, side of bed one got out of etc etc
It's very difficult. Every person (sometimes including assistants) is there to distract or influence the ref, resulting in bias whether we like it or not.
If i reffed the geordies, i'd eject Ashley from the stadium sharpish. One less fat distraction

They never actually let 49000 in tho because they have a rule whereby the patrons need to have washed at least once in the preceding calendar year52,324 actually squeeze in there:?? beats the 49,000 down the road then!!!!
the random team would be ayr united ofcourseThis is where Scotland cant do such a thing, again, in no way implying bias but, in laymans' terms, if you took 10 refs, 4 would be Celtic, 3 Rangers, 1 (insert random team), 1 would be Hearts and 1 would be lying !!
It does seem odd that for Man Utd being arguably the biggest supported team in the world, none of the top refs claim to follow them, Mike Dean given his locality would be assumed to be Liverpool or Everton, ( he even got appointed then removed from the FA Cup final involving Liverpool) although it does follow the one city one team theory that everyone from Newcastle supports Newcastle.
I think anyone who has had experience of reffing a team they follow (at any level) has prob faced allegations that they out weigh any perceived favouritism by giving too much to the other team !!
