Funny how being a referee means you get annoyed at things rest of your own support doesn't and vice versa.
QPR had 3 pens shouts on Saturday - crowd (naturally) go mad at each one - now as a referee I can see why ref didn't give all three. Even with benefit of replays I'm not sure he would have given any, possibly first one - GK collision with forward.
However what WAS poor - throw in decision close to AR, even I(!) could see it was a Spurs throw, AR goes straight with QPR throw, ref makes no signal. Players so convinced its a Spurs throw they take the throw that way and carry on, AR puts flag down, crowd goes mad, THEN ref blows whistle and AR puts flag back up (To QPR) and play gets bought back - very messy and strangely (as a QPR fan) annoyed me more than pen shouts!
Anyone else find themselves "on their own" when watching professional games live?
