Isn't that what they tried already in the Premier League a few years ago? Just led to deliberate dissent to get the ball moved closer to the goal so the attacker couldn't get his free kick up and over the wall.

If it means the free kick gets to the penalty area, the free kick becomes a penalty, player still gets a caution

Give them choice. The option should be "up to ten yards closer to the goal". If they want it they can have it. If it doesn't suit, that's up to them.

I like that Mick. The common "don't foul!" Shout that often occurs when an opponent nears the penalty area and is about to be challenged will have a new variant - "don't say a word to the ref!" Which will be heard When a foul is given anywhere near the box!

How about a straight red card for the shout "In the back referee" I hate that shout and must hear it 50 times a match!!
