So I’m going 6 to 5 but I wanna work as ar at NCEL aswell. But league wants consistent Saturday availability. Anybody worked on Ncel as ar any advice or suggestions?

Although I am fairly new to the "forum family", I am also in the NCEL pool of AR's, I am going for promotion from 7-6 then will be hitting 6-5. The NCEL start quite early compared to the rest and have mid-week fixtures if you can manage a Wednesday night or something. It might be the case of just thinking about priorities for this 1st half of the season, if you can do Sunday's too you could target December/April as your promotion date. Plenty of time (13 weeks) from start of September into December to double up weekends for middles on Saturday and Sunday's, then the NCEL season starts in about 3 weeks so you have time to get 5 AR's in there and then when you have the required number of open age middles, go back to NCEL. If you speak with Jay the AR's pool organiser, I am sure he will be understanding as you are going for promotion, to allow a break in games. Otherwise it would be the case of maybe stepping back this season and going to the NCEL as a Level 5 AR.

Cheers mate. I thought it will be okay to do just midweek ones since I’m pretty much doing nothing at Tuesday or Wednesday but it was bit suprsing for me that league takes Saturday availability serious.

No worries, he has been great with me in arranging to work around promotion availability, I have still committed to 1 Saturday a month and midweeks. But as long as you update MOAS with availability you will be fine. Then you might be able to get a game in if you aren't selected for that Saturday, for me being level 7, I have found I am "reserve AR" and replacing ones that are on holiday in July/August so managed to get my AR requirement in before the end of August providing no problems. Then I will be doubling it up from end of August, then junior league nearest to me doesn't start until 13th September which is a bit frustrating but luckily got some open age start the few weeks before it

Honestly only reason I’m doing NCEL is experience and killing my midweek time since my parent cfa don’t have any league that operate with ars that criteria is bir you know :)
