Pitch Inspections

Appointed to a very rare game at the back of my house today. County Cup quarter final. I got up early to do a pitch inspection, went back to bed then did another an hour later. All from the comfort of my own home!
In all honesty, I did go over and do a proper check.
It was great to not have to drive to a game for a change though.

Yes we played. It was only a surface frost and quite soft underneath. It was heavy going made much easier for me by having two decent level 5 assistants. The people at the club worked hard on it all morning and had the roller on it. The pitch is still playable for next week so it was the right call.
