PGMOL vs PRO approach

So I'm not sure who has or hasn't taken a look at the site I posted in Resources about all the online training things available to Referees from US Soccer but it's got me thinking. PGMOL and PRO have very different approaches to those outside of said elite groups. The former stays rather closed with training and development help reserved entirely for those that have 'made it' to that Select group while the latter has a very good website with weekly plays and analysis for anyone to see (http://www.proreferees.com/features-coaching.php) and even gives a decent insight into behind the scenes of an MLS official (http://www.proreferees.com/news-video--ever-wondered-what-it-s-like-to-be-a-referee-.php).

So I ask, which do you prefer? Do you think that the 'secrecy' here gives more incentive to get to the top to get the advantage? Do you think the PRO are right in trying to help improve refereeing standards at all levels by providing more material?

Discuss.

I love PRO, we have used it at refs association meetings. PGMOL is symptomatic of football in England (remember it's not for all UK associations). All money and rights are tied up so not even the RA can take clips and those that FA tutors get are ancient.

Oops, I meant England!
